This home was a joy to create.
Originally a derelict holiday home, we stripped and renovated it from the ground up. From new stumps to new roofing, from new engineered boards to bespoke lighting and window furnishings - it is now a luxurious lakeside haven for it’s new owners!
Bespoke lighting defined separate areas within the open plan space and also offered that special element of luxury.
This home has two wings to accommodate an extended family and a shared backyard with multiple entertainment spaces. We clad the old cement sheet in Mangrove Colourbond so it sits well within its natural environment and used a composite material for the decking so there’s no annual maintenance required! We finished with drought resistant planting for the ultimate lock up and leave holiday home.
The space is small but we made the most of it by relocating the kitchen to accommodate a larger island bench which also allowed easy access to the entertaining deck and bbq area.
We were on a firm budget with this project but laminate has come a long way, as has reconstituted stone! Add a beautiful light for evening ambience and it’s perfect!
Again, the bedrooms were small but we made the most of the space with Dulux Vivid White walls, custom made shutters and upholstered bedhead, architectural fans and textured accent pieces.
